Tlingit Haida Regional Housing Authority (THRHA) has limited remaining Homeowner Assistance Program (HAF) funds that we would like to fully expend before the grant closes at the end of September.
We are prioritizing elders or those who need assistance to continue living in their homes. All applications must be completed by September 10th to ensure we have time to process and close out the grant.
Homeowner Assistance may include:
Property Taxes – Electricity, Heating, Water, Sewer, Trash Invoices – Home Insurance – Mortgage Assistance
Applications must be fully completed before they can be reviewed or a determination made.

YOU MAY QUALIFY IF YOU:
- Own and occupy the home as your primary residence
- Experienced a financial hardship after January 21, 2020
- Income does not exceed 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI) limit under HUD HAF Income requirements
- Meet other applicable HAF program eligibility requirements

COMPLETE APPLICATIONS DUE – September 10, 2026
Given the time limitation, ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED. Applications must include:
- Completed application with all required initials, signatures, and dates
- Tribal ID
- Most recent tax return or required income documentation
- Current bills or statements for the assistance request (no more than 90 days before application)
- Any other documentation required to determine eligibility
