Attention all active Residential Endorsed Contractors and all house painters that are regulated by the RRP Rule!
The EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that all companies performing projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, childcare facilities, and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certification by EPA and use certified renovators.
Throughout the year*, THRHA which is a certified training provider and follows lead-based paint safe work practices, offers the RRP Renovator Initial Training and Certification. This course certification:
- Is required to work on homes built before 1978.
- Is approved for six contact hours needed for the Alaska’s Construction Contractor Residential Endorsement.
- Is good for five years.
EPA lead information page at www.epa.gov/lead.
*Please note that the course schedule varies and will only be offered if there are more than eight students registered for each class. Please check-back for upcoming trainings.
